I hate the internet, I really do. It’s full of terrible things and wastes of time. I know I should really cut down on my internet usage, but the chances of that happening are very small. I should use the time I would have to do something productive. Build or write or do my homework, not sit around and get annoyed with wiki people, forum trolls, and people on guild wars. That would be smart, eh?

I’m back at RIT to finish off my break. Not many people are around, but that’s okay. I’m going to hang out with Neckbeard and play video games and watch movies. Of course I’ve got Guild Wars to play, but I also just installed Alpha Centauri again, and I think I’m going to do a little Neverwinter Nights. I wish I had NWN2, but I don’t. I doubt my computer would be able to run it well anyway.

It’s vacation time for RIT right now. We have two weeks off. Started the 18th and ends on the 3rd. So, I’m sitting here at home, doing… nothing. My entertainment for the week (I’m going to go back to school the 26th) is Tekken 5, which is really damn hard, and games on PopCap. My favorites right now are Insaneiquarium and Zuma. I think I should try to come up with a puzzle game like the ones on PopCap, code it in Java, have a rocking good time. You know the deal.
Oh, and in case anybody was wondering, RIT defeated Bently Saturday night, 5-1. I wish I had been there. You can read a short article on how it all went down here.

Just got back from the hockey game. RIT Tigers vs. Bently ..I don’t remember. It might have been some sort of bird. It was quite the game. RIT scored first, at about 4 minutes into the first period. Bently tied it up in the second, and then took the lead. In the third, RIT made it 2-2. Now it was time for sudden death overtime. Bently scored on a breakaway. RIT loses.
It sucked hard. RIT had so many shots that just didn’t go in. So many we should have had. Every time Bently scored, it hurt me to see Guimond (RIT’s goalie), take a drink from his water bottle and then slam it down on top of the net. He was so angry at himself. And when Bently scored the winning goal.. he slammed his stick down on the ice. It was hard to watch.
There was a fight at the very end of the second period. Each team had one player get 5 minutes for fighting and another get 2 for unnecessary roughness or something like that. I yelled my lung out the entire game. I screamed until I was dizzy. I’m just so disappointed. I almost felt like crying at the end of it all. I was drained, and to have them lose in OT just made it worse.
I find it funny that the refs name was Panek and Panic at the Disco is playing right now, not 100 feet away from the ice rink.

I’m studying for my Intro to Computer Science Theory final right now, and in my boredom, I decided to make a Turing Machine that takes an input string, where L = {a,b} and the string has 0 or 1 empty symbols in it and removes the blank. So, a string like aaabbba_bba would be turn into aaabbbabba. If you don’t know how to read a transition graph for a Turing Machine… sorry. I can’t explain it well in text.
If you see a problem with this TM, let me know.

I saw Ben Folds again last night. It was just as amazing as the first time. Actually, it was better, because the first time, because the first time, The Fray opened for them. I know a lot of people like them, but I think they are crap. This time though… this time, a man named Corn Mo opened for him. This guy was awesome. He looked like Sam Kinison and sang like Meatloaf. He played accordian and he rocked the house. He was pretty funny too. He sang a song about Lollipops. But he did not sing his song about Gary Busey, which is pity.
As for Ben, he was great. It was him with Lindsay Jamieson on drums and Jared Reynolds on bass. He called Jared ‘Jose Hernandez’ all night though. It was pretty funny. It was pretty standard Ben Folds. Bitches Ain’t Shit was played, the cover of the Postal Service’s Such Great Heights was also played. He threw in some Olivia Newton John too. Army, Narcolepsy, There’s Always Someone Cooler Than You. All there. No Brick though. Ben Folds also played the brown note at random times on his synthesizer. It did not work.
