It’s taken me a few days, but here’s that post about my new categories on the blog. Firstly I made of some broader main categories, and then subcategories inside of them.

Ideas/Creations - Here’s where I’ll put the posts that are about the things I want to make and do. Also, I will put posts that are about the outcomes of my plans and ideas. The subcategories are: Photography, Programming, Stories, and Other. All these sub categories are pretty self explanatory.

Internet - Reviews and replies to what I find on the internet. Amusing Sites, Articles and other Blogs.

Life - The most boring category out there. My life isn’t interesting, but we’ll see how it goes. There’s space for posts about Work, School, Recreation and just random Downtime.

Reviews - Books, Comics, Movies, Music.

Random - The category I use when I can’t find a better category to put it in. Hopefully I won’t be using this often. If I write posts that I won’t be annoyed with, this category should never be used.

This post wasn’t as interesting as I thought it was going to be. I might come back to it later and try to spice it up a little.

I hope to have the post about categories up a little later today. I have compiled a list that I think will work, but I just don’t have the time to write the post and make the actual changes. So why am I writing this post? To tease you maybe.

Actually, there’s a small concert going on right outside my window. Something called Freeky Friday. A three man band made up of guys with beards are playing some jazz or something like that. It’s annoying. I get distracted very easily and the music is making the windows buzz with vibrations. I think that’s more annoying than the music itself. Sadly there’s nothing I can do about it. It started around noon, and I can’t see it going on for too much longer, unless they’re having multiple bands. I go home in four hours, so I guess that is the worst it can get. Check back later for the list of new categories.

It’s been another week without a post and once again, I’m posting something I’m not happy with. It seems that whenever I allow myself to take any sort of break with my blogging, I fail at getting back into it when my break is over. I think I did good that first week. Those three posts weren’t bad at all and I didn’t feel like I was forcing them. Now though, I have no idea what to write. I have a few articles I’ve found that I want to reply to, but either I can’t bring myself to read them for some reason, or I can’t find the time to do it. I get too distracted at home to post from there, and also the bookmarks aren’t there. I can easily send them to my other computer, but it seems like too much of a hassle. Not to mention how noisy my house is. That makes getting anything accomplished next to impossible.

There is a chance of a post in an hour or so, depending on how my work goes. I’m not saying I’ll have time to do it, but if what I’m currently working on drives me sufficiently insane, I’m going to need a break. What better way to take a break than to read an article about artificial intelligence or LISP. One other thing I’d like to do, hopefully within the next day or two, is redo my categories. I think that if I can make a good list of categories, I can hopefully force myself to write more, to fill them up. Right now there’s some categories that will never get written for, nor should they. Until then, everything will be going into Random (which probably needs a new name as well). This really came about because I keep finding myself publishing a post and then saying “Oops, I forgot to change the category”… then realizing that I didn’t have an acceptable category for it anyway. I might make a post listing all the categories I’ve created, I might not.

I went to see Transformers today and I must say, it was quite enjoyable. I was never into Transformers before and I don’t think I’ll really start now, but going to this movie didn’t make me feel like I was wasting seven dollars. If I knew more of the mythos and background, I probably could have found a few flaws, but I have no reason to go looking for them. When I was driving home, all I could do was hope that my car would change into a sentient robot. Sadly, no such luck. The CG was done really well. I know they weren’t real, but they sure looked it. You know how sometimes you’ll be watching a movie and the computer generated portions really stick out? None of that in Transformers. Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime was probably the best part.

Go see it, enjoy it. There’s more than meets the eye. (not really, it’s really just the visuals that carry it)
